What 2 Watch is built by Groupe W2W Inc. This is what the app does with data. Short version: as little as possible.
What we don't do
- We don't ask you to sign up. No accounts, no profiles.
- We don't run third-party analytics or any advertising trackers.
- We don't use Apple's IDFA, Facebook SDK, Google Analytics, or anything similar.
- We don't run a backend that stores your watchlist, history, or what you searched for.
What the app accesses
To show you movies, the app talks to TMDB for movie info and streaming availability (sourced from JustWatch). Like any internet request, TMDB sees your IP address briefly.
Local data and iCloud
Your watchlist, watched history, and preferences are stored on your device. If iCloud is on, Apple syncs them across your devices; we don't run that sync and can't see your iCloud data.
In-app purchases
The app is free. Some features are unlocked with a Premium subscription. When you buy Premium, Apple handles the transaction. We use a service called RevenueCat to keep track of who has Premium; it only sees an anonymous ID and basic info about your subscription, never your name or payment details.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export it. We don't sell personal data. Since we collect very little, most requests are resolved quickly. Use the contact below.
Data retention
Your watchlist and watch history are stored locally and, if enabled, synced privately via iCloud. Deleting the app removes local data. iCloud data is managed through your iCloud account settings. Subscription data is retained by Apple and RevenueCat per their respective policies.
International transfers
If you use Premium features, your subscription data is processed by RevenueCat, Inc., based in the United States. This means subscription information may be stored and processed in the US. RevenueCat is GDPR-compliant and maintains appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
